FSG Elementary In the News

Our students are making headlines, and we want to share all the great news with you. We will keep this page updated with important announcements, news stories, and student shout-outs. Please check back often, and help us celebrate our students’ many achievements.

Cookie Dough Kick-Off Assembly

Our cookie dough kick-off assembly is on Thursday, January 31 at 2:00 p.m. for kindergarten through 2nd grade and at 2:15 p.m. for 3rd through 5th grade. We are looking forward to a fabulous fundraiser!

Meet the Preschools Night

FSG Elementary is hosting a meet the preschools night on Thursday, January 24 at 6:00 p.m. in the elementary cafeteria. Anne Forbes, CenClear PreK Counts, Northern Tier Head Start, St. Leos, as well as the Parents as Teachers program through Dickinson Center will be in attendance to offer parents information on their specific programs. The preschools will briefly present information to those in attendance, then parents will have the opportunity to visit with the preschools of their choice to ask additional questions. We hope to link parents to the valuable preschools available in our local area.

Weather Emergency Plans

As weather in our area can get quite bad rather quickly, it is very important for all families to establish their plans in the event of a school delay or cancellation. With the district’s implementation of the Global Connect system, alerts for weather-related cancellations and delays will go out using this technology. You can also find information about delays or cancellations through radio, TV, and on our district’s website.

PTO Box Tops

Did you know that clipping box tops is an easy way to help earn cash for our school? Each box top is worth $0.10 for our school. Just look for the pink box tops on hundreds of products! All you have to do is clip them and send them to school with your child. To add to the fun, FSG Elementary will be running a contest between the classrooms! The top two classrooms to turn in the most box tops will win a pizza party for their class. The collection window for the contest is December 1 through February 22. A collection sheet is coming home. Thank you for your support!
