FSG Elementary In the News

Our students are making headlines, and we want to share all the great news with you. We will keep this page updated with important announcements, news stories, and student shout-outs. Please check back often, and help us celebrate our students’ many achievements.

Thanksgiving Break/Deer Season

We will dismiss students one hour early on Tuesday, November 20. There will be no school from Wednesday, November 21 to Tuesday, November 27 for the celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday and to provide time off for hunters during deer season. Students will return to school on Wednesday, November 28. Enjoy the time off with your family, and be safe! On behalf of our entire school family please let us offer thanks and gratitude to all of you for entrusting us with your children each day! We have a great school system, and it's because of our wonderful school community!

Santa's Workshop

We have scheduled the PTO Santa's Workshop for December 4 and 5. The PTO is looking for volunteers to help with this great event in a variety of ways. Please consider signing up to help with the event the weekend prior to assist with the set up as well as during school hours where you will assist students in finding items to purchase, add up their purchases, and wrap gifts. We are also accepting donations of both handmade and non-handmade items to sell. If interested, please contact Anna Bish at 512.2662 or Megan Buehler at 335.8882. Examples of items could range from crocheted items, homemade jewelry, and home decor for the ladies to tool belts, sewn handkerchiefs, and leather key chains for the gentlemen. All items created for the event need to be turned into the school by Friday, November 30. Our students are always so excited to shop for the special people in their lives. Please consider helping with the great event!
